The “Award in Disability & SEN Teaching” course is endorsed by QLS. This course will be helpful to parents, carers, and SEN teachers of children with disabilities or SEN because it gives them a deeper understanding of the educational landscape and teaches them how to better support their loved ones. The legal framework pertaining to Special Educational Needs (SEN) will be examined, and students will also learn about the rights and entitlements of those with SEN. Topics covered may include laws such as the Education Act, the Equality Act, and the importance of inclusion in the education system. Students will also gain insights into the historical evolution of SEN legislation and its implications for educators and students alike.

 It discusses the psychological, physical, and emotional aspects of these issues, with an emphasis on how they affect a student’s overall development. Students will learn how to recognise and cater to each student’s specific needs while also taking into account their developmental stage.
