Excelling in your career shouldn't feel scary, you should be confident in your expertise and believe in yourself that you are certainly going to nail it in your workplace.

The word “Interview” itself is quite intimidating. Everyone tends to get nervous in spite of the fact that they are probably fully qualified and competent for the job. It’s literally the first step you will take towards your dream career. Your approach and how you are dealing with the questions will give the interviewers a precise idea about you. Touch up your online presence: While freelancing or working from home due to the pandemic, there’s a fair possibility that your employer might not get the chance to interview you personally and dig up more about you through the internet. That's why it's critical to keep an eye on your online persona at all times. Begin by conducting a self-audit, which includes conducting a fast Google search of your name to see what results. Start with LinkedIn, which will most likely be one of the top Google results. With a professional photo, a creative title, and a compelling profile summary, make sure your LinkedIn page stands out. You may also beef up your profile by asking for recommendations from people you know. In return for a reference, go out to folks with whom you've worked closely. Once you are done tackling your LinkedIn profile, check out your other online profiles, portfolio, and any other profiles or websites that may come up with your name.

Learn to handle and deal with all sorts of problems.

Be compassionate: You should always have empathy and an understanding of what might your colleagues be going through. Becoming an effective employee necessitates compassion and the recognition that your boss and coworkers are trying to do their best. Getting upset or whining over how much work you have to undertake won't help anyone. Instead, be a team player, try to do your best and have patience.

Boost network: Your networking skills can be the key that unlocks your promotion as you can bring new members or even clients to the company through networking. The question, "Why have I consistently taken that approach?" might highlight weaknesses and open the door to innovative thought. You may always try freewriting, mind-mapping, painting, or even going for a stroll from time to time.

Embrace failure: Don't regard failure as a dreadful tragedy, don't become one of those who believe they have let themselves down and will never attain their goals again! Treat failures as only stepping stones, you should accept responsibility for your errors and learn from them. Take a look at any successful entrepreneur: they've all suffered their share of failures on their way to success.

Grasp listening skill: Nobody appreciates someone who isn't focused at work or present in the moment, so being able to listen intently to what your colleagues are saying or expressing their thoughts on a topic is essential.
